The Red Wings open a four-game road trip starting with a matinee match-up against the Philadelphia Flyers. Detroit will look to put an end to their recent skid, dropping three of the last four games, with Jimmy Howard between the pipes. Howard, in his sixth season as an NHL goaltender, will play at Wells Fargo Center for the first time in his career.

“The fans are nuts, they take it to another level," said Howard, "They never stop yelling at the opposing team. It makes for a great atmosphere, it’s fun."

This will be the third and final meeting between the two clubs this season with each team winning on home ice. Brayden Schenn scored the game-winning power play goal of a 4-2 Flyers win Oct. 25 in Philadelphia. Pavel Datsyuk had two goals in a 5-2 Red Wings win Nov. 26 at The Joe.
