QUOTABLE

Jeff Blashill on his takeaways from Thursday's shutout victory
"I thought we battled and we stayed with it. The want on the bench was great and the energy was good. We got great goaltending and that allowed us to find a way to win."
Blashill on Nedeljkovic's performance
"Ned was outstanding, absolutely great. Good for him, by the way. I know this one meant a lot to him."
Nedeljkovic on the Red Wings' sacrifice level
"I think we were just willing to sacrifice our bodies and sacrifice for each other. We were doing that at the beginning of the year and sometimes we weren't necessarily getting the bounces or weren't getting rewarded for the sacrifices we were doing. At the beginning of the year, when we were winning more, guys were committed to playing defense, finishing out the game strong and playing the right way. I think we need to get back to that and tonight, I think we did a great job of that."
Nedeljkovic on how he views his role as Detroit's netminder
"It's been a while since I've had a workload like this, but I'm trying to embrace it. I wanna be in the net every night. I'd love to play all 82 games, honestly. You don't get to do this for a long time. I think for me, it's about having fun, treasuring and cherishing the moment. Any time I can get out on that ice, I'm not taking it for granted. The more games I can play, the better."
