DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings are offering a new, more affordable suite arrangement at Joe Louis Arena for business owners who want to entertain a small number of clients and $9 single-game tickets.
The Wings are combining five existing suites to create the private Comerica Legends Club on the arena's suite level.
The idea of creating the new private club came, said John Hahn, Red Wings senior director of communications, from seeing the popularity and success of both the Champions Club at Comerica Park and the Miller Party Deck at Joe Louis Arena. The Miller Party Deck is not open to the public.
The Wings also had received many requests from businesses that wanted smaller packages than a full suite of 20 seats for the entire season.
A full-season suite currently starts at $120,000. Four season tickets in the Comerica Legends Club are available for $26,000, Hahn said. The club will have personalized nameplates on each of 64 seats and the club tickets come with other perks such as a buffet and access to the members-only Olympia Club.
In addition, the Wings announced a $9 ticket that will go on sale starting Sept. 13 for September preseason and October regular-season games. The $9 tickets will be released each month throughout the season at the Joe Louis Arena box office with a limit of two tickets per person, Hahn said.
