COLUMBUS -- After using a strong offensive game to defeat the San Jose Sharks on Thursday, the Detroit Red Wings will look to carry over the momentum when they conclude a four-game road trip on Saturday night against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.

Puck drop between the Red Wings (8-5-4; 20 points) and Blue Jackets (6-9-1; 13 points) is set for 7 p.m. on Bally Sports Detroit and the Red Wings Radio Network (97.1 The Ticket in Detroit).
In
Thursday's 7-4 win over the Sharks, seven different players scored for Detroit
, which snapped a four-game losing streak. And for Joe Veleno, ending the West Coast stretch with a victory "was huge."
"We wanted to get onto the right foot going into Columbus and coming in with a win is huge for us," said Veleno, who scored his third goal of the season at San Jose. "We can still get five of those eight points on the road trip."
When asked if he thought the Red Wings played a full 60 minutes against the Sharks, David Perron said he felt like they improved as the game progressed.

"There's always spurts, with a younger team like us, that you'd like to have back," Perron said. "We're starting to build something here. I think every time that we get a loss, we want to come out and be more urgent."
Two key pieces of Detroit's talented young core are Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond , both of whom are set to play in their 100th career NHL game on Saturday.
"I think it's impressive what they've done in a 100 games,"

. "But it's almost unfair what we ask of them."
