Red-White game tickets on sale Sept. 7

DETROIT -- Tickets to the Detroit Red Wings Red-White game set to be held at Western Michigan’s Van Andel Arena on Tuesday, September 27 will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, September 7 at 10 a.m. Fans wishing to attend this match, which is being sponsored by Amway and Meijer, will be able to purchase seats at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office (313-396-7575), all Ticketmaster (800-745-3000) outlets and online at Tickets can also be obtained in Grand Rapids at both the Van Andel Arena Box Office (616-774-4585) and by visiting

Upper Bowl tickets to this special exhibition contest start as low as $18 apiece with lower bowl seats priced between $22 and $40 (front row) each. Through Friday, Sept. 16, members of the Red Wings’ Season Ticket Holder family will be able to purchase select lower bowl seats to this game at a discounted rate of $5-off of face value.
The Grand Rapids Griffins have been Detroit’s American Hockey League affiliates since 2002, during which time they have captured two division championships as well as one regular season league title (2005-06). Current members of the Red Wings to have skated for the Griffins include goaltender Jimmy Howard, defensemen Niklas Kronwall and Jonathan Ericsson, and forwards Darren Helm, Justin Abdelkader, Jiri Hudler and Valtteri Filppula.
