“It was nice that (Dallas) played last night. Last time, we played the night before and they waited for us. This time, they played and we waited for them…It’s going to be a hard game, just like every game.”
– Mike Babcock

(My knee) is getting better. Obviously the pace is pretty tough right now, so we’re trying to rest a little more…But it’s been pretty good at games, so I’m happy about that.”
– Valtteri Filppula

“It wasn’t a disc. It wasn’t a worst-case scenario, so you have to take one positive out of that…. Just got to wait for this to get healed up again…It’s going to be a week.”
– Darren Helm

“I can’t let (Reilly Smith) get two steps up on me, so we’ve got to win tonight.”
– Brendan Smith on playing against his brother tonight
“I skated (the past three days) for 30 minutes, had another injection last Thursday. I think it's coming pretty well. Today, we did a lot of ups and downs and took a few shots. It feels good. We'll keep doing that, ease my way into it.”
– Joey MacDonald on his back injury

“(Kindl) is a skilled guy on the back. He’s got to move the puck, he’s got to shoot the puck. The big thing is he’s got to grab a piece of the action. That’s up to him…You’ve got to reach out and grab hold of something and then make it your own.”
– Mike Babcock on Jakub Kindl

“Don't really know right now…It has been getting better every day…the only thing I can continue to do off the ice is continue to get better, healthy, and get myself ready to get back as quick as I can.”
– Carlo Colaiacovo on time frame of his return
