CCHA Championship

Friday, March 16 - Semifinals

4:35 p.m. - No. 3 Miami vs. No. 2 Western Michigan

After sweeping Michigan State, 6-0 and 4-1, at home in the quarterfinals, Miami (23-13-2, 15-11-2-1 CCHA) will meet Western Michigan in the semifinals of the CCHA Championship on March 16. The RedHawks are the defending Mason Cup champions. The Broncos (19-13-6, 14-10-4-4 CCHA), who lost in the CCHA Championship game to Miami last season, punched their ticket to JLA with a home sweep of Lake Superior, 4-2 and 5-2.

8:05 p.m. - No. 4 Bowling Green vs. No. 1 Michigan
The Falcons (14-23-5, 5-19-4-3 CCHA) shocked the CCHA regular-season champion Bulldogs with four unanswered goals, including freshman forward Dan DeSalvo’s game-winner at 2:38 of the extra period, in the come-from-behind win on the road in the decisive game three.  No. 11 Bowling Green is the lowest seed in CCHA history to make it to the CCHA Championship. This is the Falcons first trip to the CCHA Championship since the 2000-01 season. The Wolverines (23-11-4, 15-9-4-1 CCHA) head to the CCHA Championship for the 24th consecutive season after sweeping Notre Dame at home, 2-1 in overtime and 3-1.
