He won a 2018 Stanley Cup championship with Washington as a rookie in 2017-18, appearing in 51 regular-season games with the Capitals and chipping in a career-high 12 points (0-12-12).

A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Bowey has skated in 114 career AHL regular-season games with the Hershey Bears and Griffins, posting 52 points (9-43-52), a plus-28 rating and 94 penalty minutes and adding 10 points (2-8-10) and 41 penalty minutes in 31 Calder Cup Playoff games from 2015-17.
