The fourth annual "Hockeytown Red Carpet Walk" presented by Coca-Cola and Meijer is back! Fans will have the exciting opportunity to personally interact and engage with current and former Detroit Red Wings players and celebrate the start of the 2019-20 season.

Activities available for fans will be everything from photo opportunities with replicas of the Red Wings' 11 Stanley Cup trophies, to the Hockeytown Experience presented by Coca-Cola, to live performances by the Dan Rafferty Band and food and beverage specials courtesy of Mike's Pizza Bar and Sports & Social Detroit.

The Red Carpet Walk is this Sunday afternoon (Oct. 6) on the exterior of Little Caesars Arena in the Chevrolet Plaza. The free and family-friendly event will open to fans at 2:30 p.m., with players expected to walk the Red Carpet between 4:15 and 5:15 p.m. The Red Carpet path will begin at the Little Caesars Arena Garage (165 Sproat St), and pass through the Chevrolet Plaza, where fans can greet players before they enter the arena. Many players will briefly sign autographs while walking the Red Carpet. Complimentary Hockeytown-branded signs will be available for signed autographs.

Sunday's Home Opener will begin at 7 p.m. when the Red Wings host the Dallas Stars at Little Caesars Arena. Doors open for ticketed guests at 5 p.m.

A special Opening Show will begin in the bowl at 6:50 p.m., so fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:45. All 23 Red Wings players will be introduced to the crowd, complete with an immersive lighting display on the ice.

For the first time at Little Caesars Arena, thunder sticks will make their debut, with all attending fans receiving a pair presented by Coca-Cola and Meijer. Fans are encouraged to clap their thunder sticks before the official puck drop, and throughout the game to provide the best Opening Night home-ice advantage in the NHL.

Limited tickets remain available, and can be purchased at the Little Caesars Arena XFINITY Box Office, online at or by calling the Red Wings Ticket Sales & Service Office at 313-471-7575.

Fans are encouraged to stay connected with the Red Wings (@DetroitRedWings) on social media for additional Home Opener updates.
