HockeyFest to heat up Hockeytown

DETROIT -- As summer cools off the Red Wings, in partnership with Coca-Cola and FOX Sports Detroit, are heating things up for the 2009-10 season with HockeyFest 2009.

The action begins on the floor of Joe Louis Arena Friday, August 28, from 3-10 p.m., with a special free session for families experiencing economic hardships, and Saturday, August 29 for the general public from 1–10 p.m. Red Wings season ticket holders are welcome throughout both days, plus an exclusive early session from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
HockeyFest 2009 is Hockeytown’s premier interactive fan experience, featuring appearances by Red Wings players including Dan Cleary, Kris Draper, Jason Williams and more, an exclusive Q&A session with Wings players and management, alumni autograph sessions, hockey memorabilia exhibits, photo opportunities with the Zamboni and Al the Octopus and much more!  Band favorite Bazooka Charlie will be on hand to fire fans up beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday. 
Tickets for Saturday, August 29 are just $20 for adults, $10 for children (12-and-under) and free for kids under three.  Fans can purchase tickets at the Joe Louis Arena box office, clicking here, and by calling TicketMaster at 800-745-3000. 
For Friday’s complimentary admission for families experiencing economic hardships, provided by Coca-Cola, tickets will be available in-person beginning Tuesday, August 25 at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy and Hockeytown Cafe.
