Fans salute Cup champion Red Wings

DETROIT -- The Red Wings celebrated their 11th Stanley Cup Championship with a victory parade in downtown Detroit on Friday with an estimated crowd of 1.4 million fans. The parade began at the Hockeytown Café, traveled south on Woodward Avenue and concluded with a rally at Hart Plaza along the Detroit River.

On Thursday, June 12, several Wings will be in Toronto for the annual NHL Awards Show. The following Red Wings are nominated for awards this year:
Nicklas Lidstrom, Norris Trophy (best defensman)
Henrik Zetterberg, Selke Trophy (best defensive forward)
Pavel Datsyuk, Selke Trophy and Lady Bing Trophy (sportsmanship with a high-standard of play)
Chris Chelios, Masterton Trophy (perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey)
Mike Babcock, Jack Adams Trophy (coach of the year)
