DETROIT - The inaugural Hockeytown Winterfest, presented by Coca-Cola and Meijer at Little Caesars Arena in The District Detroit, will be held the afternoon of Sunday, January 20. Access to the indoor and outdoor festival is free, open to the public and available for fans of all ages.

The festival will be open to the public at 2 p.m., with Red Wings season ticket holders receiving special entry one hour before the event begins at 1 p.m. The Hockeytown Winterfest will be open until 7 p.m., or the conclusion of the Red Wings' road game at Vancouver, which begins at 4 p.m.
The festival will feature a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Attendees can enjoy open skating on the Little Caesars Arena ice and a curling clinic, hosted by the Detroit Curling Club and featuring 2018 Olympic Curling Gold medalist Tyler George, at Belfor Training Center on the event level of Little Caesars Arena. The curling clinic will begin at 3 p.m.
Multiple Hockeytown interactive hockey zones and outdoor inflatables will be available for fans to enjoy, including toboggan rides and a Mount Everest Slide, which stands 30 feet tall. A meet and greet with select Detroit Red Wings alumni players will also be available.
Other activities will include an Xbox gaming zone, caricature artists, face painters and a magician. A First Responders Zone will also be set-up on the exterior of the venue for families to learn more about the special forces in the community. Numerous photo opportunities will be available throughout Little Caesars Arena, in addition to a variety of prizes and promotions.
While skating on the Little Caesars Arena ice, fans can watch the Red Wings' road game at Vancouver on the center hung videoboard. The game will also be played on the 900 square-foot video screen located in Chevrolet Plaza adjacent to the Meijer southwest entry of Little Caesars Arena, as well as on 50+ televisions and video screens located inside the Via concourse.
The televisions in all four Little Caesars Arena restaurants will show the Red Wings game and feature food and beverage specials throughout the day. Select concession locations inside Little Caesars Arena will also be open for the event with discount specials, including a free 16-ounce soda with any entrée purchase. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase for guests of legal age.
Parking will be available for $7 in Little Caesars Arena's surrounding structures, including the Henry West (128 W. Fisher Service Drive), LCA (165 Sproat St.) and Temple West (123 W Temple St.) garages.
