DETROIT - The inaugural Hockeytown Winterfest, presented by Coca-Cola and Meijer at Little Caesars Arena in The District Detroit, will be held the afternoon of Sunday, January 20. Access to the indoor and outdoor festival is free, open to the public and available for fans of all ages.

The festival will be open to the public at 2 p.m., with Red Wings season ticket holders receiving special entry one hour before the event beginning at 1 p.m. The Hockeytown Winterfest will be open until 7 p.m., or the conclusion of the Red Wings' road game at Vancouver, which begins at 4 p.m.

The festival will feature a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including open skating on the Little Caesars Arena ice and a curling clinic hosted by the Detroit Curling Club at Belfor Training Center, which is located on the event level of Little Caesars Arena and serves as the Red Wings' practice facility. Multiple Hockeytown interactive hockey zones and outdoor winter inflatables will be available for fans to enjoy. A meet and greet with Detroit Red Wings alumni players will also be available.

Other activities will include an Xbox gaming zone, caricature artists, face painters and a magician. Numerous photo opportunities will be available throughout Little Caesars Arena, in addition to a variety of prizes and promotions.

While skating on the ice, fans can watch the Red Wings' road game at Vancouver on the center hung videoboard, which is the largest seamless scoreboard in the world. The game will also be played on the 900 square-foot video screen located in Chevrolet Plaza adjacent to the Meijer southwest entry of Little Caesars Arena, as well as on 50+ televisions and video screens located inside the Little Caesars Arena Via concourse.

The televisions in all four Little Caesars Arena restaurants will show the Red Wings game and feature food and beverage specials throughout the day. Select concession locations inside Little Caesars Arena will also be open for the event with discount specials, along with reduced-price merchandise items at the Team Store.
