The first round is halfway through, but not without some drama. Seth Jones, who may have been the consensus number one and was looking to become the first African-American hockey player to ever be the top pick, fell all the way to fourth to a very happy Nashville Predators team.

After exploring the notion of dealing goalie 1A Roberto Luongo for a couple of years now, the Canucks went in another direction by dealing goalie 1B Cory Schneider to the Devils. Of course, the New Jersey faithful went crazy, erupting into a wave of cheers.
