Larkin surgery

DETROIT -- Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin underwent successful core muscle surgery on Monday, April 18 at McLaren Hospital in Lansing, Mich. The procedure was performed by Dr. Troy Ferguson. Larkin will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season. Recovery time is expected to be 8-10 weeks.

Larkin, 25, has appeared in 71 games for Detroit this season and currently leads the team in both goals (31) and points (31-38-69). The Waterford, Mich., native is currently in his second season as team captain and has appeared in 504 career games for the Red Wings totaling 358 points (147-211-358).
