Red Wings set for preseason finale Saturday in Buffalo

DETROIT --The Detroit Red Wings today assigned center Chase Pearson and defensemen Brian Lashoff and Ryan Murphy to the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins and released defenseman Adam Brubacher from his professional tryout.

The Red Wings have 35 players on their preseason roster: 21 forwards, 11 defensemen and three goaltenders. Currently 4-3-0 in preseason play, the Red Wings will wrap up their eight-game exhibition slate on the road Saturday at 3:00 p.m. against the Buffalo Sabres.
