Goloubef, 30, has skated in 24 games with the Senators this season, registering two points (1-1-2), eight penalty minutes, 17 shots on goal, 40 hits and 24 blocked shots in 15:11 average time on ice. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound defenseman has skated in 158 NHL games with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Colorado Avalanche and Senators since 2011-12, totaling 25 points (3-22-25) and 76 penalty minutes. Goloubef has also appeared in 311 AHL games with the Springfield Falcons, Cleveland Monsters, San Antonio Rampage, Stockton Heat, Providence Bruins and Belleville Senators over his 10 professional seasons, totaling 122 points (34-88-122), a plus-17 rating and 397 penalty minutes. He was a 2014 AHL All-Star with Springfield, a season in which he posted a career high with 28 points (7-21-28) in 62 games.
Originally drafted in the second round (37th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Blue Jackets, Goloubef spent three seasons at the University of Wisconsin from 2007-10 prior to turning pro, notching 37 points (12-25-37), a plus-19 rating and 140 penalty minutes in 118 collegiate games. A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Goloubef represented Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, chipping in two points (0-2-2) and six penalty minutes in six games to win a bronze medal. He also represented Canada internationally when they won the 2018 Spengler Cup, in addition to the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championship.
Lashoff, 29, made his Red Wings season debut on Dec. 21 at Toronto and has appeared in nine games for Detroit this season, picking up one assist, a plus-one rating, six penalty minutes, six shots on goal, 16 hits and seven blocked shots in 14:33 average time on ice. In his NHL stints over seven seasons since 2012-13, he has tallied 15 points (2-13-15) and 65 penalty minutes in 136 games. Lashoff has also appeared in 39 games with the Griffins this season, logging eight points (3-5-8), a plus-five rating and 26 penalty minutes. A 10th-year pro, Lashoff ranks second in Grand Rapids franchise history in games played, skating in 492 contests since 2008-09 and logging 106 points (25-81-106), a plus-26 rating and 253 penalty minutes. Additionally, the 6-foot-3, 219-pound defenseman has appeared in eight NHL playoff games and has 19 points (5-14-19) and 34 penalty minutes in 73 career AHL postseason contests.
A native of Albany, N.Y., Lashoff is a former undrafted free agent signing by Detroit in Sept. 2008. He is one of three two-time Calder Cup champions in Griffins history, winning AHL championships in 2013 and 2017. Prior to his professional career, Lashoff logged four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League and recorded 91 points (20-71-91) and 186 penalty minutes in 215 games with the Barrie Colts and Kingston Frontenacs from 2006-10. Lashoff also won a gold medal for the United States at the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship in Saskatchewan, picking up two assists in seven games.
