His eight goals led all AHL rookies in the playoffs, while tying for sixth on the Griffins overall in scoring. He has 55 points (25-30-55) in 100 career games with Grand Rapids.

A native of Kosice, Slovakia, Jurco also helped the QMJHL’s Saint John Sea Dogs to three straight finals appearances from 2009-12, winning the President’s Cup as league champions in 2011 and 2012 and also capturing the CHL’s Memorial Cup in 2011. Over his three-year major junior career, he recorded 175 points (87-88-175) in 172 regular-season games and 64 points (26-38-64) in 56 postseason contests.
