Detroit – Detroit Red Wings defenseman Danny DeKeyser will autograph free bike helmets from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. this Wednesday, Aug. 6, during Safety Day hosted by Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation and the Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s Kohl’s Injury Prevention Program at the Kohl’s location (29580 Seven Mile Rd.) in Livonia, Mich. The first 100 children ages 14 and under will get their bike helmet autographed by DeKeyser and receive a mini DeKeyser Fathead, courtesy of the Detroit Red Wings.
The free event, which goes from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., will feature 200 free bike helmets fitted for each child, family-friendly activities, music, snacks and local public safety officials on hand to answer questions. DeKeyser will participate in a Safety Day check presentation prior to the bike helmet signing at 5:00 p.m.
