There are two ping-pong tables that live outside the Red Wings locker room at Joe Louis Arena. They have become an after-practice favorite for players looking to unwind in a lighthearted, but competitive way.
There was a rumor floating around yesterday that a few Nashville Predators players wanted to play on the tables and Todd Bertuzzi
offered up a little bit of series gamesmanship by telling them to get their own table.
Mike Babcock was questioned about it during his morning press conference, cracking an ear-to-ear grin before asking if it really happened.
“No,” said a voice in the room.
