Ouellet was a healthy scratch in 20 of the first 26 games of the season before injuries gave him an opportunity to play regularly.

66 - Despite sitting out quite a few games at the beginning of the season as a healthy scratch, Ouellet played in a career-high 66 games. In the previous three seasons combined, Ouellet had played in 30.
2 - The Wings finished a collective minus-187 so plus players were at a premium. Ouellet finished plus-2, tied for fourth on the team with Robbie Russo. But Ouellet played in 66 games whereas Russo only skated in 19.
51 - The young defenseman finished with 51 penalty minutes, which was third on the team. Only Jonathan Ericsson with 63 and Anthony Mantha with 53 had more. In his previous 30 NHL games the last three seasons, Ouellet had just six total penalty minutes.
3 - Ouellet had three fights this season, according to hockeyfights.com. The first came with Antoine Roussel of the Dallas Stars on Nov. 29, 2016. The second bout was with Philadelphia's Michael Raffl on Dec. 11 and the last one was with Tampa Bay's J.T. Brown on March 30. Ouellet also had a career-high three goals this season.
12 - To go along with his career-high three goals, Ouellet also had nine assists for a career-best 12 points. Two of those assists came on Feb. 12 against the Minnesota Wild. It was Ouellet's first career multi-assist game.
61 - Ouellet is the only player in Wings history to wear No. 61.
