DETROIT - Jonathan Bernier was one of the biggest bright spots for the Red Wings in 2019-20, emerging as the No. 1 goaltender in Hockeytown and reinvigorating his career.

The 6-foot, 185-pound Quebec native earned his most playing time since joining the Red Wings in 2018 and made his most starts since 2014-15 as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The 32-year-old made 41 starts in net for the Red Wings last season and recorded a 2.95 goals-against average. He earned all but two of Detroit's wins in the tough 2019-20 campaign and is poised to help the Wings continue clawing their way back into playoff contention next season.
After not renewing 14-year Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard's contract this offseason, Detroit added veteran Thomas Greiss to its goaltender corps, who will contest Bernier for playing time when the 2020-21 season begins.
350 - Bernier played his 350th career game last season when he took the ice on January 3 against the Dallas Stars. Bernier began his NHL career in 2007 after being a first-round pick (11th overall) in 2006 for the Los Angeles Kings and he's played for five teams in his career.
46 - Number of appearances Bernier made last season, including 41 starts and five relief appearances. His 46 games were his most since playing 58 games for the Maple Leafs six seasons ago, and the 46 games were the third-most in his 12-year career.

15 - Number of wins Bernier earned last season. It was the seventh time in his career that he's earned double-digit wins.
