A NHL season single career-high in goals, half of which were game-winners, for the Czech defenseman. It was the most goals that he scored since producing six markers at AHL Grand Rapids in 2008-09.

Number of points produced, including one goal, in his first Stanley Cup playoff experience, tying for the postseason points lead among Wings' defensemen.

Scored his first career power-play goal, giving the Red Wings a 2-1 third-period lead at San Jose on April 11. The Sharks eventually claimed a 3-2 shootout victory.

Led Red Wings' defensemen in shots on goal in the Stanley Cup playoffs, tying him with forward Valtteri Filppula for seventh on the team.

Posted a single game career-best number of hits in a 2-1 overtime loss to Chicago at Joe Louis Arena on March 3. His six hits were spread equally with three each on Blackhawks forwards Bryan Bickell and Andrew Shaw.
