Blue Jackets Score Late to Stun Red Wings

by Staff Writer / Detroit Red Wings

The Red Wings got off to another hot start, scoring the first two goals, but it didn't seem to matter. The Blue Jackets battled back to cut the deficit to one goal, but then Artem Anisimov after a frightening collision with Kyle Quincey was wheeled off the ice on a stretcher. Quincey was also hurt on the play, leaving the game with a leg injury moments later. After tying it at 2 early in the third, the Blue Jackets stunned the Red Wings with just under 25 seconds left. After Damien Brunner's shot was blocked, Columbus came down on a three on two and Vinny Prospal scored on a tic-tac-toe play right in front of the net to win it for Columbus, 3-2.
