Artist David Arrigo to live paint on JLA concourse

Labatt Blue commissions hockey and beer-inspired mural to feature Red Wings players and Detroit landmark

DETROIT - Commissioned by Labatt Blue, renowned goalie mask artist David Arrigo will live paint a new hockey and beer-inspired mural on the Joe Louis Arena concourse during Red Wings' home games this weekend on Saturday, Oct. 29 against the Boston Bruins at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 30 against the Florida Panthers at 5:00 p.m.

Fans in attendance at home games this weekend can watch Arrigo paint the large mural on the Joe Louis Arena concourse outside Sections 101 & 128. The mural will celebrate the passion experienced on game nights at The Joe and will feature the Joe Louis Arena scoreboard, Red Wings players, local city landmarks and the "Farewell Season at The Joe" logo.
