DETROIT -- The tables are heating up for MotorCity Casino Hotel’s Red Wings Charity Poker Tournament. Be a part of the action on Wednesday, March 18 as the Wings ante up for charity in this Texas Hold’em format poker tournament.
For a $250 donation to the Detroit Red Wings Foundation, fans can test their skills going head-to-head with members of the 2008-09 Red Wings. The evening kicks-off with a cocktail reception for players and participants at 5 p.m. in the conference center ballroom. The action fires up inside the Poker Room at 6:30 p.m. All participant donations will go directly to the Foundation.
MotorCity Casino Hotel will generously donate an additional $10,000 to the DRW Foundation and its charitable causes. MotorCity Casino Hotel is also offering all tournament participants a complimentary stay in a deluxe room in the luxurious 400-room hotel the night of March 18, along with a complimentary spa treatment at D’Tour Spa.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 finishers of the tournament, including a grand prize trip for two with the team on Red Bird II to a Wings road game. The second-place finisher will receive a suite for a Red Wings home game during the 2008-09 regular-season, including a meet-and-greet with select players after the game. The third-place finisher will receive four tickets to a Wings regular-season game in the Legends Club. Those who place No. 4-10 will receive an autographed Red Wings jersey.
