by Staff Writer / New York Rangers

The National Hockey League announced today that forward Zdeno Ciger has been suspended for one game, without pay, for a high-sticking incident involving Florida Panthers defenseman Brad Ference in NHL Game #203 on November 3.

The incident occurred at the 9:10 mark of the second period. Ciger was assessed a match penalty on the play.

Ciger will miss Tuesday's game vs. Minnesota and will be eligible to return for Thursday's game on Long Island.
