Wolf Pack Win Streak; Nieves, Kovacs Updates

The Hartford Wolf Pack made it two wins in a row Tuesday night at the XL Center, defeating the Portland Pirates, 5-2. Left Winger Chris McCarthy led the way with two assists and six shots, while Ryan Bourque and Mat Bodie each picked up goals in the victory.

Down in the ECHL, 2014 draft pick Richard Nejezchleb had a big night for Greenville, scoring a goal and an assist in the Swamp Rabits' 3-1 win over Adirondack. The 21-year-old has four goals and 10 assists for 14 points in 18 games in Greenville this season.

Down in the NCAA, 2012 second-round pick Cristoval 'Boo' Nieves picked up an assist in Michigan's 3-2 win over Northern Michigan. Nieves has four goals and seven assists for 11 points in 13 games this season for the Wolverines.

Over in Europe, 2015 pick Robin Kovacs picked up his 13th goal of the season for AIK of Allsvenskan. The winger has 21 points in 28 games.
