The Hartford Wolf Pack have signed defenseman Ivan Baranka
to an Amateur Try Out (ATO) agreement effective today. The 6-2, 196-pounder, New York's second round draft pick (50th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, recemtly completed his second season with the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League.
Baranka amassed seven goals and 16 assists for 23 points, along with 64 penalty minutes in 64 games with Everett during the regular season, while adding four points (three goals, one assist) and six penalty minutes in 11 post-season games.
The native of Ilva, Slovakia is expected to join the Wolf Pack and play against Lowell in the Atlantic Division Semifinals beginning on Thursday.
