The Hartford Wolf Pack, proud affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Rangers, will open their ninth home schedule at the Hartford Civic Center on Saturday, October 15. The club is also guaranteed home games on four other Saturday's in 2005 - October 29, November 5, December 17 and December 31. The New Year's Eve game has proven a fan favorite the past two years.
"Saturday's are coming to be known as hockey night in Hartford," said Wolf Pack General Manager Jim Schoenfeld. "Families are our greatest supporters, and Saturday night games are a perfect way to celebrate the weekend with family and friends." The entire Wolf Pack schedule will be announced later in the summer and a new coaching staff for Hartford is expected to be announced shortly.
The AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack hockey club is part of Madison Square Garden LP. Cablevision Systems Corporation owns a controlling interest in MSG LP, which also includes the New York Rangers (NHL), New York Knicks (NBA), the New York Liberty (WNBA), the MSG Network, Fox Sports Net and the Madison Square Garden arena complex.
