Wolf Pack Add Two to Roster

by Staff Writer / New York Rangers

Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Al Coates announced two Wolf Pack roster changes today. The parent New York Rangers have reassigned forward Layne Ulmer (right) from Charlotte (ECHL) to Hartford, and right-wing Cail MacLean has signed a Professional Try-out (PTO) agreement with the Wolf Pack.

Ulmer, a rookie out of the Western Hockey League, has recorded 8-10-18 in 23 games with Charlotte. In 20 AHL contests with the Wolf Pack the 21-year-old has contributed 0-5-5, with 17 penalty minutes.

MacLean, a fifth-year pro, was playing with the Trenton Titans of the ECHL, where he had totaled 11-13-24 in 31 games. He has also seen time this year with Lowell (0-1-1 in 3 GP) and Providence (1-0-1 in 9 GP) in the AHL. Last year with Trenton, he tied for the ECHL lead in playoff goals (13), as the Titans captured the Kelly Cup championship.
