The New York Rangers announced their 2016 pre-season schedule today. During the course of the pre-season, the Blueshirts will play three games at Madison Square Garden and six contests in 10 days.
The Rangers will play against three Metropolitan Division opponents during the pre-season: New Jersey, the NY Islanders, and Philadelphia. The Blueshirts will begin the pre-season at MSG on Tuesday, September 27 against the Islanders and play their second game of the pre-season on Thursday, September 29 against New Jersey at MSG.
Following their first two games, the Rangers will play three straight contests on the road, facing New Jersey on Saturday, October 1, Philadelphia on Monday, October 3, and the Islanders on Tuesday, October 4. The Blueshirts conclude the pre-season on Thursday, October 6 against Philadelphia at MSG.
