by Staff Writer / New York Rangers

Hartford Wolf Pack forwards Brad Smyth (right) and Rico Fata were named to the 2001-02 American Hockey League All-Star teams, released today by the AHL.

Smyth, who enters this weekend's action tied for the league lead in points (33-45=78 in 74 GP), earned First-Team honors at right wing. The Wolf Pack swept the starboard side, as Fata was named the Second-Team right-winger. Fata is tied for second in the AHL in plus/minus, at +27, and ranks 10th in the league in scoring, at 34-34=68 in 55 games.

The Wolf Pack and Manitoba Moose play a two-game series at the Hartford Civic Center tonight and tomorrow evening (both 7:05 PM faceoffs). Wolf Pack multi-game, coupon book, group-discount packages, and single-game tickets are all currently on sale. Further information on all Wolf Pack ticketing options is available at 860-548-2000.
