New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that defenseman Bobby Sanguinetti has been assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Sanguinetti, 20, did not dress last night at Ottawa after being recalled earlier in the day. The 6-3, 190-pounder registered three goals and 20 assists for 23 points, along with 24 penalty minutes in 39 games with Hartford prior to his recall. He leads all Wolf Pack defensemen in points (23) and assists (20), and is tied for second among team blueliners in goals (three).
His 23 points are also tied for third on the club overall, while his 20 assists rank third among all Hartford skaters. The Trenton, New Jersey native has recorded six multiple-point games this season, including three multiple-assist efforts. He also registered a career-high, four-game assist/point streak from November 29 vs. Manchester to December 5 at Philadelphia, tallying five assists during the stretch. Sanguinetti was named to the PlanetUSA AHL All-Star Team on Wednesday, January 7.
