HARTFORD WOLF PACK:
The Wolf Pack ended the week with their seventh home win in a row, which puts them in second place in the Atlantic Division, three points behind league-leading Manchester. The club has an overall record of 28-10-1-2, good for 59 points. The team has the best home record in the AHL (19-3-0-1) and continues to boast the best penalty-killing in the league (89.82%) and have risen to the sixth-best powerplay, which is clicking at 18.46%.

Goaltenders Jason LaBarbera and Steve Valiquette have changed places atop the league's goalie board. Valiquette now stands number one with a goals against average of 1.73 and LaBarbera is number two at 1.74. Lawrence Nycholat, who is number four in defensemen scoring leaders, is also on a nine game assist streak (11) dating back to December 28. Jeff Hamilton has gone eight games in a row with at least one assist, notching 11 since December 27.

CHARLOTTE CHECKERS:
The Charlotte Checkers hosted the Texas Wildcatters in the fifth game of a six-game homestand on Saturday. In the fourth meeting of these teams this year, the Checkers came away with a 3-1 victory, making it their fifth win in a row at home. The win makes them undefeated at home in 2005. The victory puts the Checkers at 22-13-2 for 46 points and in first place in the American Division. Charlotte takes on the Johnstown Chiefs on Thursday, January 20 at Cricket Arena.

WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE:
Zdenek Bahensky (Saskatoon) - Registered 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points along with 58 penalty minutes in 41 games. Three of his goals are short-handed goals. The Blades are 13-3-0 when he registers a point. Eight in points scored by rookies in the WHL with 23 points (ten goals, 13 assists. Ranks second on the team with three short-handed goals and tied for sixth on the team with ten goals. Tied for second in the WHL with three short-handed goals.

Dane Byers (Prince Albert) - Scored his first goal of this season on October 3 against Red Deer...Skated in 41 contests so far this season, tallying nine points (four goals, five assists) and has accumulated 112 penalty minutes...Missed five games due to a concussion from Nov. 10 to Nov. 20... Registered his first multi-goal/point game on Dec. 5 against Moose Jaw, tallying 2 goals in the contest...Named the first star of the game after the match against Moose Jaw on Dec. 5. He ranks first on his team with 112 penalty minutes.

Roman Psurny (Medicine Hat) - Has skated in 43 games, notching 29 points (15 goals, 14 assists) and 43 penalty minutes. Among WHL rookies, ranks fourth in scoring with 27 points, second with 14 goals and second with a +14 rating. Ranks' fourth in scoring on his team with 29 points (15 goals, 14 assists). In his last 2 games (2-1-3), both were victories.

Zdenek Bahensky (Saskatoon) - Registered 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points along with 45 penalty minutes in 37 games ... Has points in four of his last five games (3-1-4) ...Tied for eighth in points scored by rookies in the WHL with 22 points.

Rick Kozak (Kamloops) - Has registered ten goals, two assists for twelve points, along with 73 penalty minutes in 28 games for Prince Albert. 5 of his 10 goals have been scored by power play (Tied 2nd -team). Tallied an assist on Jan. 14 vs. Brandon for a 2-1 victory.

Brandon Dubinsky (Portland) - Has registered 15 goals and 24 assists for 39 points, along with 100 penalty minutes in 43 games. Tallied 0-2-2 on Dec. 11 against Kelowna, marking his fifth multi-point game...Tallied two goals, along with an assist, on Dec. 15 vs. Spokane, marking his first multi-goal game of the season...Has recorded 13 multiple-point games this season...Named 3rd star of the game vs. Moose Jaw (T 4-4) on Jan. 14. On Portland, he ranks third in goals (15), second in assists (24), second in points (39) and third in penalty minutes (100). Has tallied 4 assists in his past three games.

Nigel Dawes (Kootenay) - Has registered 24 goals and fourteen assists for 38 points, along with 22 penalty minutes in 37 games...Has a +/- rating of +10. Recorded 11 multiple-point games this season. Has recorded five multi-goal games. Named 1st star vs. Portland (W 5-2) on Jan. 15. 8th in the WHL with 24 goals and first with eight game-winning goals. Ranks first on his team with 38 points. Ranks first on his team with team with 24 goals and eleven power play goals. Has a current six-game point streak from Jan. 7 to Jan. 16, registering 10 points (5 goals, 5 assists).

Marcus Jonasen (Tri-City) - Has registered 13 goals and 10 assists for 23 points, along with 40penalty minutes in 40games. Ranks tied for first on the team with 13 goals and is fifth on the club with 23 points.

ONTARIO HOCKEY LEAGUE:
Ryan Callahan (Guelph) - Has registered 18 goals and 14 assists for 32 points, along with 55 penalty minutes in 36 games...Callahan leads a young Guelph team as captain in 2004-05...Scored five PP-goals and one SH-goal...Was named 1st star of game vs. Windsor (Sept. 26) and 2nd star vs. Oshawa (Oct. 15)...Has posted seven multi-point games and three multi-goal games this season...Was named 1st star of game vs. Belleville (Nov. 5)...Named 1st star on Dec. 3 vs. Barrie (T 2-2)...Named 3rd star on Jan. 9 in a 1-1 tie vs Oshawa...Registered 4 points this past weekend (1/14-1/17) including a 3 point game (1 goal; 2 assists) against Plymouth on 1/15.

Jakub Petruzalek (Ottawa) - Has registered 16 goals and 28 assists for 44 points, along with 34 penalty minutes in 35 games....Had his 1st multi-assist game in the OHL (0-3-3) on Sept. 26 @ Sault Ste. Marie (W 7-4)... Has seven multi-assist games...Has 13 multi-point games...Has two multi-goal games...Recorded 6 points this past weekend in 3 games, including a 3 point performance on 1/14 in a 5-3 win over Peterborough.

NCAA:
Al Montoya (Michigan) - In 22 games has a record of 17-4-1, along with a goals against average of 2.68 and save percentage of .897...He ranks 9th in the CCHA with a 2.68 GAA, first with 17 wins (including 2 this past weekend vs Alaska-Fairbanks), seventh with 504 saves. Montoya set a career-best winning streak on Saturday with his eighth straight win dating back to Dec. 3 vs. Notre Dame. Michigan is ranked #3 in the country.

Chris Holt (Nebraska-Omaha) - Appeared in 21 games, posting a 11-8-2 record along with a 2.60 goals against average and a .911 save percentage ... He ranks third in the league with 550 saves and T-6th in the league with a 2.60 GAA ... Stopped more than 30 shots in both games this weekend vs Ferris State....Was named 1st star in a 2-2 draw with Ferris State on 1/14 and was named 2nd star in a 4-1 win over Ferris State on 1/15.

Nate Guenin (Ohio State) Has registered two goals and six assists for 8 points, along with 80 penalty minutes in 22 games...He leads the Buckeyes with 80 penalty minutes...Had a three-game point streak snapped on Dec. 11 (0-3-3)...The Buckeyes are currently ranked #12 in the country...Added a goal this weekend (1/14) against Notre Dame as the Buckeyes swept the Irish.

Greg Moore (Maine) - Has registered nine goals and four assists for 13 points, along with eight penalty minutes in 24 games. Named 2nd star of the game vs. Massachusetts on Jan. 14 (T 2-2) and Jan. 15 (W 5-2). Tied for second on his team with nine goals, ranks first with seven power-play goals, and tied for fifth with 13 points.

Billy Ryan (Maine) - Registered three goals and seven assists for 10 points, along with 26 penalty minutes in 21 games. Tied for eighth on his team with seven assists and tied for eleventh on his team with 10 points. Leads all Maine freshmen with seven assists and 10 points.

Joey Crabb (Colorado College) - Has registered nine goals and nine assists for 18 points, along with 22 penalty minutes in 24. Was named first star of the game vs. Minnesota (W 5-3) on Jan 9. Ranks third on his team with nine goals. Ranks tied for fourth on his team with 18 points. Colorado College is ranked #1 in the USA Today/U.S. Hockey Magazine polls and #1 in the USCHO.com/CSTV polls.

Dylan Reese (Harvard) - Through 17 regular season games, has four goals and six assists for 10 points, along with 14 penalty minutes. Ranks first among team defensemen with four goals and 10 points. Ranks tied for sixth among ECAC defensemen with 10 points. Ranks tied for third on the team with six assists. Tied for third on team with 10 points. Harvard is 13th in the country.

EUROPE:
Henrik Lundqvist (Sweden) - Ranks among the Swedish Eliteleague goaltending leaders in several categories, including saves (735, tied for fourth), save percentage (.932, second), wins (21, first), goal against average (1.88, first), shutouts (four, tied for first) and minutes played (1724, third) ... 15 of his victories have come while allowing one goal or less, including all three of the games in his current three-game winning streak, in which he has a goals against average of 1.00 and a save percentage of .960 ...Frolunda has an 25-7-1 record and sole position of first place in the Swedish Elite League. Lundqvist is 7-2-1 in his last 10 appearances in goal.

Petr Prucha (Pardubice) - Has skated in 39 games, notching 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists) and 22 penalty minutes...Has recorded points in two of his last four contests (1-1-2) and has helped the team win eight consecutive games.
