  • POWER SURGE - New York was 1-for-5 (9:00) on the power play in the contest. New York has recorded a power play goal in seven of the last 10 games and in nine of 14 games in 2016-17. In addition, the Rangers have not gone two consecutive games without tallying a power play goal thus far this season.
  • KILL ZONE - The Rangers were 2-for-2 (4:00) on the penalty kill in the game. The Blueshirts have not allowed a power play goal in each of the last three games and in four of the last five contests.
  • Pavel Buchnevichposted his first career NHL multi-point game, tallying three points (one goal, two assists) in the contest. Nash has recorded a goal/point in four of the last six games and in seven of the last 12 contests (seven goals, three assists over the span). Nash is tied for the team lead in goals in 2016-17 (seven).
  • Mika Zibanejad tallied a goal, recorded three shots on goal, and led the Rangers with eight faceoff wins in 17:05 of ice time. He has notched a point in eight of 14 games this season (three goals, seven assists).
  • Brady Skjeirecorded an assist and tied for the team-high with three hits in 17:21 of ice time. Skjei extended his assist/point streak to six games (seven assists over the span) and he has tallied eight assists/points in the last nine games. Skjei is the first Rangers rookie defenseman to tally a six-game assist/point streak since Brian Leetch from Feb. 17, 1989 - Mar. 1, 1989. As of the conclusion of tonight's game, Skjei leads NHL rookies in assists (nine) this season, and he is also tied for the team lead in assists in 2016-17.
  • Kevin Hayestallied an assist in tonight's contest. Hayes extended his point streak to six games, establishing a career-high (four goals, six assists over the span).
