Rangers Trade Forward John MacLean to Dallas Stars

New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has traded forward John MacLean to the Dallas Stars in exchange for future considerations.
MacLean, 36, appeared in two games with the Rangers this season before being assigned to the Manitoba Moose of the International Hockey League (IHL) on November 15. In 30 games with Manitoba, he registered six goals and 12 assists for 18 points, along with 26 penalty minutes.
The 6-0, 200-pounder collected 46 goals and 51 assists for 97 points, along with 98 penalty minutes in 161 career contests with the Rangers. In 1146 career NHL contests, MacLean has registered 406 goals and 424 assits for 830 points, along with 1299 penalty minutes. A native of Oshawa, Ontario, MacLean was originally selected by New Jersey with their first choice, 6th overall, in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft.
