by Staff Writer / New York Rangers

The New York Rangers are inviting fans to get in on the NHL playoff excitement and cheer on alumni Ron Duguay and Stephane Matteau on Monday, May 6 at 2PM as they each drive a zamboni down 33rd Street in New York in the first-ever Rangers Zamboni Challenge.

Duguay will captain Zamboni Team Blue against Matteau, who will captain Zamboni Team White, and each former Ranger will have their own “Blue Pit Crew.”

Top Model Alejandra Cata will drop the Green Flag signaling for Duguay and Matteau to begin driving the Rangers branded zambonis towards the finish line.

Fans of the winning team at the event will receive a special Rangers prize and one fan will win a pair of tickets to Game 3 against the Washington Capitals that night at Madison Square Garden.

After the Zamboni Challenge, fans will be able to get an up close look at the zambonis parked in front of Madison Square Garden.
