The New York Rangers are live from New York for their 2001 Training Camp, and what better way to kick off the experience than by joining in the morning rush hour commute? Several members of the team will be greeting fans and signing autographs in Penn Station tomorrow, Tuesday, September 11 from 7:30 AM to 9:15 AM. Fans will be able to mingle with the players and team personnel as well as show off their talents at the interactive Slapshot booth prior to heading to their offices.
The New York Rangers 2001 training camp will be held at Madison Square Garden, marking the first time the Rangers have held training camp in Manhattan in the club’s 76-year history. Newest Ranger Eric Lindros will join captain Mark Messier and the rest of his new teammates at The Garden for three days of practice sessions, beginning Wednesday, September 12 and concluding Friday, September 14. Training camp will culminate with a Blue - White intrasquad scrimmage Friday evening at 6:00 PM. Admission to all practices and the Blue -White scrimmage is free to the general public based on ticket availability. Along with the on-ice practice sessions, fans will also be able to take advantage of an interactive Rangers Fan Zone and player autograph sessions.
In conjunction with the kick off of Rangers Training Camp, the team and MSG Network are pleased to launch the Watch the Rangers & Win promotion, where one lucky winner will join the Rangers as they travel, via Amtrak, to their January 12, 2002 game against the Philadelphia Flyers in Philadelphia. Amtrak and The Wiz are supporting sponsors of the Watch the Rangers & Win promotion.
