Rangers Sign G Bryce Wandler to Professional Contract

New York Rangers President and General Manager Neil Smith announced today that the club has signed goaltender Bryce Wandler to a professional contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Wandler, 21, has posted a 34-15-2 record, along with a 2.11 goals against average and a .917 save percentage in 52 games with the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey League (WHL) this season. He curently leads all WHL netminders in wins (34), goals against average (2.11) and save percentage (.917) and is tied for second in the league with five shutouts.
The 6-0, 180-pound native of Lacombe, Alberta has appeared in 170 WHL games with Swift Current, Edmonton and Kamloops, registering a 71-73-11 record, along with a 3.64 goals against average. He has posted a 2-4 record, along with a 2.80 goals against average in six career WHL playoff outings.
