by Staff Writer / New York Rangers

As the New York Rangers closed out the home portion of their 2002-03 regular season against the New Jersey Devils, the players continued their tradition of saluting their loyal fans with 'Fan Appreciation Night.'

Highlighting the night's festivities was the 'Blueshirts Off Our Back' post-game ceremony, where each member of the 2002-03 Rangers team autographed and presented their game-worn jersey to a randomly selected fan.

As a special part of tonight's jersey presentation, captain Mark Messier proudly presented his game-worn jersey to Specalist Stefano Busico of the United States Army's 106th Trans-Battalion stationed at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. Busico, from Sabel, Long Island recently appeared on the 'Today' show with Katie Couric and spoke of his favorite teams, including the Rangers.

Tonight, Messier's jersey was presented to Sargeant Major Chet Markus, 77th Army Reserve public affairs from Fort Totten in Bayside, Queens who will ensure it's safe delivery to Stefano's family including his wife Pamela and two sons, Steve and Brandyn, who currently reside at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
