New York Rangers President and General Manager Neil Smith announced today that the club has recalled right wing Jason Dawe from Hartford of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Dawe, 26, has tallied nine goals and seven assists for 16 points, along with 20 penalty minutes in 20 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL) this season. He also registered 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points, along with 24 penalty minutes in 41 games with the Milwaukee Admirals of the International Hockey League (IHL) this season.
The 5-10, 180-pound right wing has appeared in 362 career NHL matches with Buffalo, the Islanders and Montreal, registering 86 goals and 89 assists for 175 points, along with 160 penalty minutes.
The native of North York, Ontario was acquired from the Nashville Predators on February 3, 2000 in exchange for defenseman John Namestnikov. He was originally Buffalo’s second choice, 35th overall, in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft.
