Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that goaltender Jason LaBarbera
has been recalled from Hartford of the American Hockey League (AHL).
LaBarbera, 22, has posted a 6-4-2 record in 12 games with Hartford this season, along with a 2.52 goals against average and a .921 save percentage.
The Prince George, British Columbia native has appeared in one career NHL game, making his Rangers debut on October 14, 2000 at Pittsburgh. LaBarbera turned aside two shots in less than 10 minutes of relief ork in the third period.
LaBarbera was New York's third round choice, 66th overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
