Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that defenseman Joel Bouchard
has been recalled from Hartford of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Bouchard has recorded 18 points (six goals, 12 assists) in 22 games with the Wolf Pack this season, ranking third on the team and fourth among AHL defensemen. The 6-1, 209-pounder is tied for third among league blueliners with six goals and is tied for second with four power play goals.
Bouchard has appeared in 277 career games with the Calgary Flames, Nashville Predators, Phoenix Coyotes and New Jersey Devils, registering 15 goals and 30 assists for 45 points, along with 217 penalty minutes.
The native of Montreal, Quebec was signed by the Rangers as a free agent on August 7, 2002.
