Rangers Recall Goaltender Johan Holmqvist from Hartford (AHL)

New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has recalled goaltender Johan Holmqvist from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Holmqvist, 22, has appeared in two contests with New York this season, posting a 0-2-0 mark, along with a 5.04 goals against average and a .859 save percentage.
The native of Tierp, Sweden currently leads the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL) with 38 games played and has registered an 18-12-4 record, along with a 2.96 goals against average and a .898 save percentage during the 2000-2001 campaign. He has posted two shutouts on the season.
