Rangers Recall G Jean-Francois Labbe and LW Johan Witehall

New York Rangers General Manager Neil Smith announced today that the team has recalled goaltender Jean-Francois Labbe and left wing Johan Witehall from Hartford of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Labbe, 27, has posted a 17-8-6 record, along with a 2.63 goals against average in 33 games with Hartford (AHL) this season. The native of Sherbrooke, Quebec became the fifth goalie in AHL history to score a goal on February 5 at Quebec. He has compiled a 145-111-37 record, along with a 2.77 goals against average and 15 shutouts in 304 career professional games with PEI, Cornwall, Hershey, Hamilton and Hartford of the AHL and Thunder Bay of the Colonial Hockey League (now the United Hockey League).
Witehall, 28, has tallied 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points, along with 48 penalty minutes in 48 games with Hartford (AHL) this season. The left wing has also notched one goal and one assist in two matches with New York this season. The native of Goteborg, Sweden has appeared in six career NHL contests with New York, collecting two points (one goal, one assist). He has recorded 53 points (24 goals, 29 assists) in 110 career AHL matches with Hartford.
