Rangers Recall Defenseman Jason Doig from Hartford (AHL)

New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Jason Doig from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Doig, 24, appeared in 36 matches with Hartford this season, tallying three goals and 15 assists, along with 112 penalty minutes. The 6'3" 220-pounder also skated in two matches with New York earlier this season, making his first appearance on October 11 vs. Montreal. He will wear number-21 with the Rangers.
Doig was traded to the Rangers by Phoenix along with a sixth-round pick in 1999 for Stan Neckar on March 23rd 1999. The Montreal native was originally drafted by Winnipeg as their second-round choice, 34th overall, in the 1995 Entry Draft.
