New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that center Jarkko Immonen has been recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Immonen, 24, has skated in 20 games with Hartford (AHL) this season, registering six goals and eight assists for 14 points, along with eight penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 210-pound center currently ranks second on the Wolf Pack in goals (six) and power play goals (five) and is third on the team in scoring with 14 points.
In the last five games, Immonen has picked up five goals and two assists for seven points.
Immonen played six games for the Rangers in 2005-06, scoring a pair of goals. He was called up to the NHL for the first time on April 6, 2006, just two months after setting the Wolf Pack's franchise record of five goals in one game.
