Rangers Reassign Several Players to Hartford

31 Active Players Remain on New York Roster

New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has reassigned several players to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL). The Rangers now have 31 active players remaining on their roster, including four goaltenders, 10 defensemen and 17 forwards. New York begins the exhibition schedule Monday, September 17, travelling to Detroit to face the Red Wings.

The Rangers play host to the New Jersey Devils in their first home game of the 2001 exhibition schedule on Wednesday, September 19.

Players Reassigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL):

Goaltenders:
Jason LaBarbera, Scott Meyer, Bryce Wandler and Vitali Yeremeyev.

Defense:
Dean Arsene, Sean Gagnon, Christian Gosselin, Todd Hall, Wes Jarvis, Matt Kinch, Anders Myrvold, Rory Rawlyk, Dean Serdachny, Chris St. Croix, Fedor Tutin, Terry Virtue and Leonid Zhvachkin.

Forwards:
Jason Dawe, Brandon Deitrich, Dave Duerden, Benoit Dusablon, Ken Gernander, Sean Haggerty, Jeff Hamilton, Ryan Hollweg, Boyd Kane, Marquis Mathieu, Brad Mehalko, Mirko Murovic, Garth Murray, Petr Preucil, Ryan Reinheller, Brad Smyth, Juris Stals, P.J. Stock, Troy Stonier and Layne Ulmer.
