Prospect Update: Champions League Begins

Plus Four Nations Tournament Gets Underway

Four Rangers prospects, including 2017 first round pick Lias Andersson, are set to begin the Champions Hockey League today, a tournament consisting of 32 teams from around various European leagues.

Andersson and Frolunda (Swedish Hockey League) take on the Zurich Lions. Prospects Tarmo Reunanen, Patrik Virta and TPS (Finland's Liiga) face Mountfield HK, while Dominik Lakatos and Liberec (Czech Extraliga) battle Vaxjo.

In addition to that tournament, prospects Filip Chytil (Czech Republic) and Calle Sjalin (Sweden) begin the 2017 Under 20 Four Nations tournament. Chytil faces Finland, while Sjalin takes on Russia.

Forward Daniel Bernhardt and Karlskoga face Leksands in an Allsvenskan (Sweden) preseason contest.
